G131C,103, ST12, 772-33 says all this is on the end of the cam, should be a big one? i dunno can anybody help?
Somewhere I have a catalog from the 60s. Will dig thru the shop tomorrow, cant find it in the house. Damn, I can picture it, just cant lay my hands on it.
ST-12 flat tappett cams are for upper mid-range and top end. If this is a SBC, cam duration is 294 lift is .485 , it is a track cam, mechanical lifters, retailed for $90 and a cam kit inc inner & outer valve springs, lifters, shims retainers and 1 can breakin compound was an addit $84.30 in 1967. If not a SBC let me know what engine and I will look it up in my catalog.
thats a start, its a nailhead cam gotta be pretty big for what i have in mind for it, sounds like it might be a good one, the nailhead lift has gotta be bigger than the sbc, no? thanks a lot!
BELLM....The Pontiac in the dragster I just sold had a Racer Brown roller number 43R. Any info on that one ? I need to know the valve lash.
Catalog doesn't have valve lash settings but 43R 55 & later Pontiac has duration 310 & .520 lift. Footnote says use aluminum-bronze distributor gear or no guarantee on cam gear wear. This is a Mark 1 roller compe***ion cam. Guys I don't get to spend a lot of time on HAMB so if I can answer any more questions e-mail me direct Eddie_Bell@msn.com otherwise I probably not see it, thanks ray for telling me to check this post again.
