Can anybody ID this odd hubcap?

    It may not be American made, but i thought maybe some of the overseas folks might be able to help.
    stamped stainless steel, measures about 15"
    searched the internet and cant find anything.
    The crest to me looks like a Lion, definitely not a horse.

    It almost looks like the scottish symbol, and someone told me there were cars made in Scotland, but i cant find any pictures.

    any ideas? Thanks!

    Those are aftermarket hubcaps from 1950-1953. Well that was the time frame that they appeared on customs and a few Hot Rods in photos. There were different styles with that crest. I have three different styles of that hubcap with that crest. Jimmy Summers had them on his 1940 mercury custom. I'll try and get some pics of what I have. Look at Hop Up, Rod and Custom, Hot Rod and the few annuals that came out too. And you will see them on Customs and Hot Rods.

    I have 3 simular ones that are for 16" wheels. Mine have a chrome center, with a white outer.Could be after market. I need one more for a full set, but I have yet to find any.

    Yes The Are Old Lyon-after Market Item Came In 16- 15 In.i Think

    Thanks for all of your responses. I didnt think this was an aftermarket hot rod type part.
