    It's a bad idea.

Canted duals need a large frontal area and your Comet just doesn't have room.

There is one way to make it work, however, which would invlove removing the bumper completely and molding an entirely new grille surround. Lots of work. Study up on some 60s kustoms and you'll get some ideas.

On a completely different path, you could ELIMINATE the dual headlights and go with singles. This makes the front end look extra wide.

haha. That's exactly what I was thinking.

PS- Kustomizer, I think Don Haring Jr made some good points concerning the quad lamp idea. Have you considered running a tube grille with the lights hidden behind? I've seen it turn out pretty well on a few falcons.

PPS- What's wrong w/ the stock grille?? I'm more into "mild" then "wild" when it comes to customs.. ..sometimes too much = too much.

    Kustomizer,

As usual, Don Haring Jr was right on. He better be. Graphic design is his job, after all.

    Check it:

The car is too small for the canted lights. I vote for the tube grille with lights behind. Very clean yet custom (and easy). You can still pan the bumper area to give it a more custom look.

So you gave up on the Gasser idea?

I also think the canted headlights don't fit the front of the car.
The tube grill is ok. But I think of the 80's when I look at that. The single headlights are not too cool lookin' either. FALCON all the way! [IMG]
Guess that leaves the stock front. Go with that!

(Note: I am putting a flatbed on my pickup....which means I have no taste....listen to me at your own risk....)

Here's my suggestion, I like the single lights. They make it look lower and wider. I started this with Tim's pic, saved me doing the grill again. What if you used hood and fender pieces to build the pan? That way it mimics the upper shape. Something like this: (Also nosed it)

i can see were all you guys are coming from, i like the wild kustom look that why i asked, ill probably just end up cleaning it up with a tube grill then put a front roll pan on. Yeah i did give on the gasser thing i kept looking at the 4 doors and didnt think it would look to good, i think with 4 doors they make kool sleds because they are longer and gove it a kool look i think! thanks for all the suggestions.
