I picked up these seats today. I was looking for 68' Chevelle buckets. Can anyone I.D these things. They do not have a lock for the tilt. So iam guessing pre 67' All I know is they are not 68' Chevelle.

  3. Kinda reminds me of a 64 Galaxie I had for too short a time.
They look like genuine leather though so I'm going to agree with ELpolacko and say probably '64 'Bird.

Thanks for the replies, I never would have thought of a T-Bird.

These are out of a Galaxie XL, the XL package got you bucket seats with a console. The frames are the same as Thunderbird, but that is not Thunderbird upholstery on there, the T-birds had a bird emblem on the backs where this one has the little rectangular chrome. I think these also had different tracks than the T-birds.

Good score, if you don't use them, the Galaxie guys will buy them.

Never ceases to amaze me the guys and the knowledge you'll find on the HAMB..

  7. Sweet score, I'd take those over SS seats any day for a hot rod project.

once again, Thanks for the help. Iam putting together a 68' Chevelle for my wife to drive. That way she will have her own toy and leave my 55' ford alone. A guy had these listed on Craigslist along with Chevelle parts. Let me know if anyone wants them. I have $150.00 in them.
