Technical Can anyone id this engine/car?

    Look at the plate visible near waterpump...I do see an "X", so see if there's an "Esse" in front of that!

    PS...the traffic signal viewer is ingenious!

    Is that upper water jacket gas welded? holy cow if it was. And look at the depression era homemade hose clamps..... and some people piss and moan if their power seat stops working :)

    Steering wheel is the coolest part of the car.

    From the looks of the dash and steering wheel maybe one of the more deluxe ones.

    With that sunviser out front you will be the king of the sunviser brigad.

    Thanks guys.
    I searched Studebaker, and found pictures that match the engine, and that laminated steering wheel with hub controls. and the big visor.
    Looks like most of this one is 28 Studebaker.

    Your pic is of the drivers side of the engine.

    The studebaker pic is of the passenger side.

    I don't think it's a studebaker.
