I did a Google image search for a four pointed star and this popped up. Does anyone know what vehicle it came from?

    -Thanks!

'50s Pontiac is a good possibility.

    must be GM :)

I say that only because I have one from a later 40s chevy car grille, supposed to fit in the center somewhere?, but the two shorter spikes are not used on Chevy. The rest is identical.

I could imagine this being possibly an accessory that goes on a skirt. Or maybe some part of a grille like you said F&J.

    but I like it!

  7. 58 Pontiac is my guess.

Found another one on eBay and apparently it's from a 50's Ford 6 cylinder truck. It doesn't specify what year so I asked the seller and hopefully he can provide an answer.

OK, here is a picture of a 1955 F100 with 6 cylinder. See the star?

    <a href="http://s3.photobucket.com/user/nomadboy/media/1955Fordf1006cyl_zpsa9a8a3a0.jpg.html" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

They are reproduced and can be had from several vendors for $52.50, such as Early Ford Store of California and Carolina Cl***ics, as can be seen in the link below

    http://www.carolina-cl***ics.com/Details.cfm?ProdID=763&category=0

And here is the image of one from Mac's catalog

    <a href="http://s3.photobucket.com/user/nomadboy/media/1955Fordgrillestar_zps251dcb6e.jpg.html" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

In '53, the 6 cylinder star was 3-pointed. In '54 it had 4 points but lacked the rounded center. The star in question was '55 only.

This is what I'm trying to do more or less and they would be molded in the bed too. I know they're too high but I figure those stars would fill that area better than the smaller skirt accessory stars.;)
