I got the my model A some time ago and it had these spindles on it. can anyone tell me what they are off of? i don't think they are 35-48 ford or the Chev. please help i am trying to set up my steering and need to know. thanks Jonny
Those look like Ford Econoline spindles. With the way the steering arms are oriented. If you use a spacer you can bolt a mid seventy's malibu rotor and disks breaks on those spindles.
would't the ford van look like 49 to 54 chey spindles they kind of look like 29 ford that have been cut by the what is the bolt pattern
well i think they are definitely ford econoline spindles so the next thing is dose any one know if you can get a different lower steering arm for the right hand side that has 2 holes for the drag link so i can run a cross steer set up. aka Vega box. thanks Jonny
Yeah, you need a conversion tie rod end. I know speedway has them, you might try checking with some the alliance vendors to see if they carry them also. Maybe Riley Auto? Like this: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Cross-Steering-Tie-Rod-End,1540.html
