Can anyone identify these tail lights?

    I like the way these fit the car , does anyone recognize these?

    Are they hard to come by? How about the buckets that i need to weld them in? Or am I going to have to fab these?

    Agree they look to be early Type 3 VW Squareback, fastback, notchback lights with the European version lens with the orange top. USA would be all red. Years would be 69 and older.

    Getting a donor slice of the rear quarters would be the easiest, but moderate sheet metal skills can make them fit. The edges of the quarter are folded 90* flanges to have the chrome bezel to sit on a flat surface. Then a couple of cross brackets inside the openings to hold the bezel on.

    Go on thesamba.com which is a VW site. They have a T3 section for parts in cl***ifieds, as well as repro parts dealers.
