Can anyone identify these stainless trim pieces? 70 3/8 long by 1 9/16 wide and it is about 9/16 tall at its tallest point.
Looks like the rocker panel trim from a '53 or '54 Chevy car. I've got some in the garage, but in the house for the night. Perhaps I can measure them tomorrow.
When you say about 9/16ths at the tallest point, I assume you are talking about the measurement of the high side in the picture of the end, where you are holding it in your hand. That "tall" side is actually the bottom of trim. It's wider at the bottom because the rocker rolls under, yet the trim when installed, visually displays as vertical, or perpendicular to the ground. Otherwise, Yes on your other two measurements. These are 53/54 Chevy.
I had no idea of the orientation of the trim, so yes, the 9/16” would be on the bottom side. Thank you very much for your help.
They do look like a rocker trim, question is what car? I don't have idea beside looking similar to the already mentioned 49-54 Chevy cars.
They are 53/54 Chevy. I measured my extra ones in the garage, and confirmed it by measuring the actual ones installed on my car. Just shy of 71 inches. They are apparently not 49-54, as noted by @302GMC, 49-52 are longer, at 76 inches.
