There is a guy on the Ford Barn who said "Evaporust" is basically just citric acid. Any chemists out there that can delve a little deeper into this? Sure would save a lot of bucks for some of us!

  2. Is vinegar toxic? I put that on the street drain.

  4. Read the MSDS sheet - it's not really any type of acid.
It works on the same chemical principal as Molasses

Yeah; It's called "Chellation". I tried looking it up on the internet and just about everything I found referred to heavy metals in medical processes. It's kinda hard to understand; that's why I was asking if there were any Chemists on the board.

I wouldn't think so, but I'm sure the city would appreciate all that sludge in the drain.

  7. http://www.orisonmarketing.com/SDS PDF/SDS Evaporust.pdf
From there you will find this

Has Ph of 6.1 and a ph of 7 is neutral. It's very mildly acidic.

    Then you might find this

Then you mask yourself , what the hell is a cheating agent?

Now look up ammonia salt phosphonate or CAS 51503-61-8
