Can Ryan clarify please?

So....now in Pics of Days Gone By, we now have tons of OT NZ, Australian, Swedish, Dutch, ? and ***orted European cars posted, new ( non vintage ) photos of cars, pics of females with no cars in them. Running commentary is back, same guys.
What IS the policy, what are the new rules.?
Seems like it's going off the rails, not very HAMB friendly material.
Just wondering.

 

I quit posting in that thread after Gray got bent out of shape because I posted a couple of Australian made Ford cars & trucks in the scenes and claimed it was against the rules.

I was under the impression it did not matter as long as there was a car in the photo.

I now know he was wrong saying the thread was only for American days gone by. HRP

I have nothing against foreign cars, but they aren't HAMB worthy, simple as that.
I would suggest Australians, Dutch, Swedes etc look into a site that caters to their interests , the HAMB is for American cars .
Thanks to Moriarty for keeping not only this thread, but the others on track as well. Without his efforts, this site would be another Yellowbullet ( arrrrrgh!!!). You can't please everyone, so why try?
Better than pleasing certain members, is keeping the site a true traditional one.

 

So, everyone has had their say on this subject. Would this be a good time to close this thread?

But how many members have actually ever read the rules, we see people joining every day and posting their late model cars & trucks, or their frame swaps.

We also are aware that for the most part it's up to management to determine what gets a p***, Anglias & Morris Minors come to mind on the main board they are except-able and they certainly are not American made automobiles but are cool none the less.

There seems to be a fine line. HRP

 

It's not "managements" fault nobody reads the rules.
If you have been on the HAMB for years and STILL don't get (ahem) that it's dedicated to traditional American cars. pre 65 tech and all that entails........then....................................I guess some folks should pay attention. Maybe not make it PERSONAL too.
If you want foreign cars go somewhere else. Google. Same for Mustangs, Camaros, rat rods, tweed street rods, jeeps, jets ,Volvo's etc. The HAMB doesn't exist to please everyone, isn't, and never has been a democracy.
Jeeesh, in the old days Ryan would have just banned the whole bunch.
