I remember reading in a post of a company making quality trim rings for Guide/BLC lights? Could someone please post the link to their site or the name of the company?

    Thanks,

    Tim

That might well be the company called something like "Chevys of the 1940's"...I think the rims are same as some production Chevy trucks.

Thanks, Bruce. No, I don't think that was it. They had various different repop and parts for Guide and BLC lights. Made in the USA to boot!

Tim: There is a guy on the Hamb that makes guide brass tags. His name is Rick Bales and he may use that name on the hamb. He's from St. Louis area.
Tell him Tim Whitaker sent ya.

Can anyone vouch to the quality of the OTC products?

The tags on my Guide and BLC lights are intact and in great shape. There was a time when a member was making the little brass rivets to re-install them. I picked them up years ago.
    Thanks!

Rick's Hamb name is 193257 if anyone wants to inquire about the tags.

I've used OTB Gear stuff in the past and found the quality to be excellent.

...I've heard that 39-40 Chevy pickup rings and some Harley-Davidson rings are the same.

Bought some stainless steel ones a few years ago, and would like to buy another set, but haven't seen the stainless ones for sale lately. Anyone have a lead on stainless ones?

Try Paughco motorcycle parts in Carson City NV. The knuckle head head lite ring was very close. I used a pair on my hiboy 25 years ago. They made repo Harley parts. I got unchromed ones. They were good about selling individual parts and not a whole lite when I got mine. Some were a little flatter, but worked fine. Ron Paughco has (had) a 39 Chevy.
