    i did not know what con8 was? or if it meant anything? size? or hp?
    from what i read I think i have to change the water pump? and not sure about anything where the trans bolts up? i still need to see if it runs...thanks, vinnie

    It's good that it's a '58 block, as it will have mount bosses in the same location as the stock '52 block does, although the pattern will be different. A simple pair of homemade adapter plates welded to the stock mounts will take care of that problem. '55-'57 235s don't have any side mount provisions there.

    BUY IT! Full pressure 235, great engine. Just use your original bellhousing, flywheel, starter, your done.

    Forgot, I am putting a 60 235 in my 50 Chevy. Go on Ebay and for $40 you can buy a water pump adapter plate and use your original water pump. Plus it mounts it back in stock location to center the fan in your radiator.

    does the dual groved crank pulley make a difference?

    ??? looks to me like only one belt groove. There is a gap between the front part of the damper, and the belt groove part, but the gap is not for a belt.

    Unless I'm looking at the picture wrong.
