    Don't know about Dodge but Chrysler offered it around '53.:) :D

    according to the book the dodge story by Thomas A Mc pherson the first mention of air con was 1954 optional air con in the royal series

    The earliest one I have seen is a 1955 Dodge Coronet Le Femme . Its an unusual set up . All the ducting ,evaporator and hardware is located under the rear window package shelf. Routing is similar to a late model van with rear a/c.
