It looks like the passenger door is being held on by some kinda a green tape or somethin. If this thing will fetch that kinda money I'm gonna paint ACME on the side of my t coupe and put the pontiac in it and call it good. Does it matter if I don't have the rear spring mounted??? I do have a piece of 2x4 tacked in on both sides, for the rigid frame affect!!!

    Could I get a little photochop goin!!!:D

From looking at these pics, I only see 2 guys that are short enough and skinny enough to get in it..... unless that is why it has no floorboards, so the taller guys can shove their feet further forward..HEHEHE I see it as a typical Coupe with a sbc in it....5-6K TOPS...

OR, by a tall guy who never sat in the car until is was finished up like so many who don't snap to the fact that the car is being built for the owner to drive rather than to look at.

  6. Why is it I can't even find an A coupe body w/ doors around KC for under $3500- but this car looks to be pretty mobile & people think $5 or $6k ??? What's up with that.

I'm 6'1 & my A is lower than that & more drastic chopp too. "I'm in love with my car"

anytime the back wheels stick up higher than the body, the car was built by someone who was never "there" in olden times. This coupe under discussion just typifies the current trend by some toward non-utilitarian excess - hundreds of dollars in chopping and channeling and not one dime spent on that bodywork (aside from cleaning up the chop) - dents, bullet holes - gee, I'm older than most, and have been hotrodding since the late 50s and the idea of leaving bullet holes and dents just never occured to those of us trying to fix up old cars for hot rods. While you may not find a 28-31 coupe body near KC, they are out there. Just because this thing you've brought up is available, does NOT mean it's a car you should buy. The 'principle of subsitution' states that no informed buyer will pay more for a particular item than an amount which will procure an appropriate substitute within a reasonable distance. I try to use that sagacious proposal as my guiding force when involved in any kind of purchase or sale.

Sorry to have rambled.....I'm apparently lonely for company (or the sound of my own loquaciousness) this morning.
