Didn't you find the answer in the other, identical thread you started here? LOL! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=285358 ~Jason
For the front end you will have several choices. As Rem says in the other post you might be able to just swap out backing plates and brake parts from an F1 and keep what you have. You should also be able to swap out the whole axle if you have problems with the brake parts swapping. You can buy after market drop axles as well and you should be able to even do a disk brake conversion for these axles (at least I know it works for the F1 axle). If you are concerned about ride height, then you also want to consider the leaf springs. The 1 ton had heavy duty spring packs. Since most of these trucks will never haul anything again, a lot of guys start pulling leafs on the F1! You can buy after market mono-leaf springs and also lowering springs for the F1, I am not sure if they changed the spring length for the larger trucks though.<!-- / message -->
I dont have the answer but check the parts numbers for the kingpins on a f-1 and see if they are the same. What about swapping the whole axle from an F1? There was one in the classifieds the other day. I think it sold but they come up regularly.
