Projects Can u do anything with this mild custom Falcon from 1960?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Norrland, Nov 4, 2008.

  1. Found this car in an add 8 miles from my house. Pricetag says 1000$. Could u do anything with it? Seems to been a 4 door that is modifyed into a 2 door with a buissness coupe looking roof. Have as u can see deep frenched taillights and 1 antenna on top on each rear fender.

Tought maybe it could be a cool driver with some other custom mods like removed handels and a tube-grill. Then maybe some laces or panel paining?

And u think WHAT about that?

The real question is "what can YOU do with it?" - If you're looking for validation on whether you should purchase it or not, you should. Beyond that, if you don't have the gumption to do it "your way", then leave it as is, and blame those two silly antenna mountings on someone else. You've got the makings of an interesting ride. Don't worry about what someone else thinks...grab it...cut it....bag it...sag it....hammer it....spray it. And when you're done, it will be YOUR car.

The quarter window is pretty funky, that would take some work to straighten out. It's got potential though.

  6. I think it would be cooler as a race car.

I think the quarter window is what makes it. Be different!

I had one very much like it in 1985. My Family was moving and the car had to go, sold it for $25 to the garbage man. Every time I see one I kick myself. In my opinion don't let your opportunity get away. Buy it, Build it, Drive it!

  11. I know how to total one of these. I did in Nov. 1967. I was hit broadside on the passenger side. A guy was doing 50mph in a 25mph zone. Here is one of my favorite Local Dragracer from Detroit Dragway in the 1990's.

The guy that owned it owned Graham Custom Tubing. I call this one "the good Falcon".
There was another Falcon that I called "The Evil Falcon". It was white with a big block Ford engine in it that would do 9.90's in the quarter mile.
