Can Von Dutch rebuild my Tailgate??

Anyone know if I can take the window regulators out of a Galaxie wagon tailgate and use them in my Fairlane tailgate with the fairlane window channel? I also need to adapt the outer handle (or power key mechanism) to Fairlane tailgate. I know of a Galaxie tailgate, but I don't want to throw money at the problem if it's not going to work. (and its not exactly close, so I can't just compare mine to it.)

(This post is devoid of any Von Dutch content. Von Dutch did not cause or cure all my automotive problems. Did Von Dutch even have a Fairlane wagon? Probably not. Did he even have a wagon? Not sure, but I bet money that at one point he at least rode in a wagon and thusly would sympathize with my plight. Your mileage may vary. ) [IMG]

Dunno, but I used to make pretty good stew & dumplin's in my Von Dutch oven. I packed that in my 63 chevy wagon. Does that count? [IMG]

I don't know about all that - but that Von Dutch sure makes a purdy hat. That is about all I can say...

Wonder where I could get one of them purdy hats...

Alright then. Hey, these guys have a Fairlane wagon - but probably won't trade for a purdy hat:

It's a '69 and I don't remember seeing it myself, so I can't say much more than the call is free...

A "truckers hat" is just a mesh-back baseball cap.

C'mon Hatch, you gotta be down with the VDO Trucker hat. Yo. It's fly. You can check out how good you'll look in the reflection of my tailgate window after it returns to the happy happy land of actual functionallity. [IMG]
