Pretty sure this car's gl***...they used silicon to make the "welds" if I remember. I saw it at Fathers day 2006
I have a couple of survivors, both owned by my family since the early 50's and have been virtually untouched since the mid 60's... My avitar is my late father Larry (then age 12) and my late grandfather, Bill. Photo was taken by our local small town newspaper for a front page article on my grandfathers success at the 1955 and 1956 World Series of Drag Racing. Dragster was changed to slingshot shortly before my grandfather retired from drag racing in about 1965. I 'restored' it and now participate in NHRR cacklefest each year. More photos and info on it at link in my signature. Roadster was formally owned and raced by the late **** Kraft. It was given away at the 1951 Indianpolis Auto Show. Until very recently it was virtually untouched since 1966 when it was last painted. However, I have recently had some changes completed to return it back to 1951 configuration. Seeing alot of restored cars.. Is'nt a "survivour" suppose to be something in its original or built ( ie hot rod ) condition from a ways back?

Thanks for the comments on the truck... Ted Hoy, the builder will dig that.... The red 32 unchopped, channeled, outa Utah....man...that car is it for me....but with the old red truck shell. I would like to know what the buckets are.......
Here are a couple that I had a few years ago. The 34 is an old Rod & Custom feature car and the roadster was shown at Cobo Hall in 56.
wouldnt the old Dracula, Twin Mill and the Munsters mobile be considered "survivors"? or are they too new to be called that?
mine didn't "survive" as good as others, but it was cheap and I like it, I would guess it was built in the 60's?
Yeah and no ,,its a show car and chances are it has been treated as such,,now if someone owns it and its sitting in the Garage ,,that would be another story and yeah in original condition since the 60's would be survival
This was my Grandpa's Hopped up flathead and the put an olds in it in the late 50s. Sold it when my Dad was 15 And my Dad was able to buy it back a few years ago.
This was a local survivor, that was in storage across the street from my old house. I think the car went out of state to get "restored". This pic is one my dad took 35(?) years ago. I'm not sure if we got any pics before it left
Here's mine, I just got it back on the road this week. All new innards, still looks like it just came out of the barn this morning. License reads "BRN FND" Now if someone comes up with the things in my sig line, I'll have that hot rod.
Here is my little old survivor. 37 Dodge, 56k miles, one repant(50's-60's), 99.9% rust free, original upholstery, runs like a sewing machine.
