Hot Rods Can we talk replacement air compressor pumps?

Harbor Freight is not always good about putting things out that are not necessarily “retail packaged” such as items in plain brown boxes. I remember I bought a smaller compressor there (29 gallon) and none were on the floor, and two employees even bickered about whether or not they had one, because the computer showed like 3 but they couldn’t immediately find any. I think they had a shipping container for storage behind the store; I just remember they found them after someone had an epiphany.

 

There were the large pump and the small pump on the display shelf, but not the middle one. Under the display shelf were several boxes of the actual pumps, I did the quick scan (I had someplace I needed to be soon) and may have missed the middle one on the shelf. It would be nice to have a look at it before I put my money down, but I guess if I buy one on line I don't get that option either.

I don't really have very good luck buying something like this used. My luck is that the guy took as bad of care of his his compressor pump, as I took care of mine. For $50 more, I can drive to the local store and buy a new china made pump, or I can "save" that $50 (gas is free right?) and borrow a pickup to travel nearly 200 miles to buy his used china made pump.

 

You might try a compressor dealer like All type compressor in Dupo IL. They may be able to rebuild your pump or supply a rebuilt unit. I bought my compressor from them 32 years ago. They have been the go to in the St Lous area for a long time.

That would be my road,,i bought my compressor from industrial supply shop that would rebuild my pump.

 

The point was to check marketplace in your area , might be just what you need ...

 

Age is a construct.

Buy a new one.

 

Yea , just take it out of petty cash , right ....
