As far as I know the only process available to actually chrome plate Fibergl*** is the conductive paint and then the standard plating process. In the automotive industry they use chrome plating on plastics such as ABS that do not use a conductive paint. This process is very specialized and has been expanded to some other plastics but I have not heard of fibergl*** being one of them. A quick search should turn up some results in your area or somewhat close that offer this service but expect to pay as this is much more difficult than a standard plating job on metal substrates. Depending on the overall quality you are going for spray type chrome finishes may be suitable. However no spray chrome looks as nice as the real chrome. I have seen many attempts but being a plater myself the results are not as close as advertised. Jimmy
This process is not recommended for exterior parts especially one such as a Grill which is exposed to high speeds of road debris. The finish just would not hold up. A strong clear coat would be needed in addition to the Vacuum metalizing. I believe there is a plater in Fl that can do the Fibergl*** grille for you. I do not remember their name but they were pricey. I 4"x6" flat piece of plastic was $175 4 years ago. Maybe its cheaper now but not sure.
The grill in this custom is fibergl***, and has been Chrome plated. Just look at the shine on it I borrowed these pictures taken by Jimmy B, from another post
