Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Stryker's Custom, Feb 10, 2009.

  1. I have had this set up for a long time but have yet to ID what it fits.

I did find that WOHFEIL was a oval track racer , Inovator and builder From Michigan.

The Carbs are cast by Alemite Casting in Woodstock Ill. But they have no Mfg. name on them. Thanks for Any Help !

I'm gonna give you a free bump to the top, because i'd like to know!

  4. As short as it is, and hence made for a small 4 banger application, it could have been for a Crosley powered midget or even an inline motorcycle engine in a midget.

googled "wohlfeil intake" and found this:

    http://www.mmshof.org/inductees/Wohlfeil_Johnny_Sr.html

"" When they started using Elto outboard engine he designed, built and sold a gearbox so that the engine could be installed with the flywheel on top. He also designed and built different intake manifolds. ""

  6. Thanks for any help .
The intake fits a 110 Offenhauser midget engine.
The carbs are still not Identified.
Any one have any Ideas who Alimite might have made them for ?
Isuspect they were fom the late 1940s.
