Aftermarket wheels. You’ll probably notice the mounting surface isn’t level, and will fit over the nubs inside the studs on a 28-35 Ford hub.

I have a similar set, except mine doesn’t have the tin ring that holds the hubcap. Mine has spring clips and they hold the cap on. Same wheel with a different hubcap.

Is the wheel center nickel or chrome plated (not the cap)?

    Awesome.

    That's what they are.

  6. They were used on rods in the day. Seems you could buy chrome centres riveted to painted rims or just painted like on this '32 roadster from late 40s

My wheels are just like the ones in Jimmy’s pic.

  9. Anyone able to identify my single artillery wheel.
I found out in the wild a few years ago, it's a 16x4.5 with a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. I think the wheel is really cool but I can't imagine I will never find the other three to run on a car.
I am not even sure of the brand. A guy that came by my house a year or two ago said that he believed they were Buick but I thought Buick had a five on five bolt pattern. At any rate I figure I'll either hang on to it until I find the other wheels or I'll part with it at some point. I would imagine if I sold it the spiders would be pretty upset.

If it’s cast iron center, it might be a Clark. I think @Clark knows a lot about them and could maybe help.

Very similar but not a match. Those are a smaller bolt pattern. Could have been made by Kelsey Hayes for another vehicle.
