    It was the same poster. In fact, I think this is the third post he started asking the same question.

    Have you tried watching on ebay for similar looking ones under various
    categories??

    Well gee, then maybe you could just bump your original thread back to the top instead of starting a bunch of duplicate threads. I hope you find your answer but repeated duplicate threads are frowned on at this board and have a good chance of getting locked or deleted.

    back before ebay began to suck I picked up all sorts of unknown parts at swaps for resale. I'd google what I thought they were and eventually come across a photo of a car with the part in question. the internet is full of car pictures. For those I'd probably start with 1937 and search every year and every car manufacturer until I found a pair on a car.

    I sold a lot of parts over a 5 year period. I'm sure I was able to ID 97% of what I needed to find.
