Oldsmobiles have different body lines. I know for sure, I have one. That body is definately a '32 Pontiac, no question.
I think I have the grille shell for it ... or maybe it's from an Oakland--Pontiac's second line. Real close, with that split down the middle. I can get a picture after I find it. But I know I have it.
OK then without looking at the hood or fenders, which car is OLDS and which one is Pontiac? They both are 1932. What body lines are different? Compare the pics he has given us they both are close.
Looking at these 2 pictures I would have to say that it is an OLDS. The "A" pillars are exactly the same and its only sporting one wiper, while the Pontiac has 2 wipers. More pictures here: Pontiac Olds
The pillars aren't the same though. The pontiac has a very pronounced beltline that runs under the window seperating the greenhouse, and it runs prominiantly all the way up the firewall. The olds does not have that same feature. Also, the secondary eltline (the thin one) is different. Here's the example OLDSMOBILE: PONTIAC: Check the beltlines at the greenhouse. You'll see what I am saying.
Also, the ponch has the thin accent of the beltline ABOVE the belt, while the OLDS is BELOW the belt.
That's just plain silly. Why would you paint it orange, with Arnie Bestwick tiger stripes, then install a poly?
