can you make a speedometer cable

THe speedo cable broke on my 60 corvair monza 900,only the cable inside the sleeve broke,i took it out and it mesure broken 138" long,is theresome type of flexable cable that you can make work,larrys corvair out of cali has one but its 50.00 to get shipped here,just looking for a cheaper solution,thanks......

 

Check with your local auto parts store. They used to carry replacement inner cables that you cut to length and then crimped on a new square end.

 

Try NAPA give them the length and they can look up a replacement.
