I have a solid axle going on the front of my 49 Plymouth and I want to convert to disc brakes but have heard that there might not be anything out there. If you know of anything let me know.

    Cheers

You sure can. I did it in '75 with Corvette calipers and discs, and a kit from J&J Ch***is in Ceritos, Ca. Don't know if that company is still around, but with all the disc brake companies around these days, I'm betting there are adapter kits available.

yep. I bought a bolt on kit from e.c.i . it only took about an hour total to do everything, comes with bearings and races , calipers, rotors, caliper mounts and bolts. I bought the hoses through them too.
    good luck. d.d.t.
