Just found some old tin out in Vegas. Can anyone tell me what it is and give me an idea as to what the rest of the truck looked like? Got a few visions as to how I want to Rod it out but I'm just wondering what I'm working with here.:D

A guess: Very early "T" or "TT" truck cab. Didn't the seller know?

That is a 25-27 Ford TT 1-ton truck cab.

Introduced in 1925 and continued through the Passsenger/Commercial changeover in 1926 on to 1927. Only the TT truck line through 1927 used the previous style flattop bead fenders and runningboards.

The studs you see in the middle of the window opening are window BELT retainer studs. Yes, the trucks did not have rollup windows, but rather belt risen windows, the window channel on the window in the passenger door will have a loop on the bottom for the belt to attach. The belts were woven material like a GI belt but without the brass buckle.

I had one of these for some years as a project. I was going to make it into a Panel Truck and use the factory rear window and lower panels for a liftgate/dropgate at the rear. They are pretty cramped inside with deepening them.

Pasadenahotrod is right. It looks like an old 1 ton flatbed I have seen before.

No seller had no clue what it was. I had thought Model T but I thought it was of an earlier year. I think I've seen one done up before but I swear I remember it having 32 Ford like fenders on it.

For your information, you can use the much more attractive round-top 26-27 fenders, aprons and runningboards just as well as the earlier flat-top style if you choose to do so. Even Model A fenders would be worable as the only difference is 3 1/4" in wheelbase, T being 100" and A being 103 1/4".

If you are thin king about chopping it. Here is a picture of mine on model A rails.

The windshield is 9 inches. I'm 6'1" and still fit in it.

It might be... does it leak oil?

  22. No, but the lighting works only once in a while, and never when it rains. :D
