Fedyk does great vids from Mission! They’re racing up in Ashcroft again. Just 1/8th mile at the old airport strip but better than nothing. Sucks that the nostalgia funny cars aren’t at Mission anymore. My favourite race to attend by a mile! My uncle raced in Mission at the original track back in the 60’s and then eagle in Ashcroft for its entire operating life. He was the very first guy down the track there when it opened. Thank You. You'd think a Saskatchewan car would be built in Regina. (I did.) My interest in the plant's history has proven otherwise. I've seen several cars, quite a number of ID tags and piddling few of those examples were. Thanks again for checking yours! The grille. I have a few and I think I can piece one together, but keep me in mind if you decide to part with your halves. .
Sorry you couldn't find suitable employment. Your Buicks were not built in Regina. Beginning August 1940, the plant was converted to produce artillery. GM left the plant in government hands and never returned. The mine story sounds interesting. .
Tims sucks. Shitty prefrozen donuts. Lousy coffee. Putting the local coffee outfits out of business. Fuck Tim. Buy local guys.
Oh yeah, Sid, and the Trailer Park Boys. Letterkenny is gold. Should be part of the welcome to Canada program.
I love the grille on these Mercury panels and pickups. So much more stylish than the Fords of that era.
Regarding the Horny Tim specs....Classic glazed or toasted coconut. NHL specs... Vancouver Canucks and the royalty of the NHL les Canadiens!
Both real pretty. That lil Valiant is wicked. The wheels however, do NOT fit the guidelines of the HAMB. Photoshop American 5 spokes on the front, and white steelies on the back. Golden!
That must be the French spelling, like "Boom Boom" Geoffrion? I always thought the H in Montreal's logo stood for Hacks. No offense intended, just poking fun. I was a goaltender and though it pains me a little to say it, Ken Dryden was one of my hockey idols. I actually paid good money for a limited edition piece of artwork, same as the example below. Before I bugger off, a Regina GM plant photo. .
I know this is a pic of the @americanhotrodfoundation tshirt I got with my membership package but the hot rod is still Canadian! Just got back from a trip to Hawaii that we left for before the whole travel ban crap went into affect so now doing the 14 day quarantine thing. I am able to work from our home office and my staff are kick ass so no issue there. The one silver lining is now i get some extra shop time! Springs here and the coupe will be on the road real quick!! Let's see some more back bacon getting ready to come out in the sun.
Here is a picture of some Canadian back bacon waiting for some better times to hit the road and Some Canadian shop dogs who are tired of self isolation.
