Happy Father's Day to all the Dads on the HAMB and the purveyors of Canadian bacon. Went for a nice Father's Day Sunday cruise this morning as I continue to log the shake down miles on the 56.
Came across this stunning build yesterday at the Rockland, ON cruise night. Spoke to the owner for a bit. Had my Jeff Norwell tee-short on and asked me if I knew him. Haha!
Time flies… Early spring 2022 (fire up the fryin pan): Today (couple more minutes and she’ll be yummy crispy): Hood and top will go on shortly, once I get some miles on her and everything is broken in. And I’ll snap some pics out and about shortly. She’ll look good in the Fall leaves soon enough, and then we know what’s coming. .
Met up with my friend Greg yesterday. He has the 57 Meteor. A perfect example of what was offered in the Niagara version (A 300 custom) A great running 272 version with the complete trim package. Only about 6900 made in 57 at the Ford Plant in Oakville Ontario.(still producing Fords today) We met up at the Leslie Motors, for the Ford and Merc show ... which is held annually. Don Leslie is 3rd Gen of the family owned Ford Dealerships..... this one in Harriston Ontario is a 100 years old. Don and his family are great people and friends of ours. anyhow.... we hung out for a few hours and headed back to my shop, had a few Beers and Bench raced. Fun day.
Drove through Harriston last week, on the way to visiting family on vacation in Southampton. I always seem to miss events by a few days!
Yes, we did, on the way there(Tuesday), but returning to Kitchener(then Pearson for me Friday), our electronic travel advisor saved us a minute or two, and we came back through Formosa. Huh.
Hiding in the alley at the Okotoks show so the wife and I could walk around and look at stuff and then make a quick escape.
Formisa, Carrick, the entire Grey Bruce area is a wonderful place to live.... .... Our town seems to have frozen in 1978..... Anyhow.. went east to our family's cottage on Black Donald Lake about 7 hours north east of me.. great road trip in the Beater....
Canadian bacon doin what it oughtta. Blastin through the western mountain weather. Made it to the hotel a little later than expected and off to our favourite idiot pub for some crunchies and bevies. Yup, there’s a few hours of cleaning this little girl up once we get to our destination, but for the most part…she’s waterproof. . . PS: man these auburn deluxe tires handle **** weather well and thank god for RainX . .
Some tri five Chevy bacon at the Gaffiti Days show in Cache Creek, a small town about 45 minutes from Kamloops.
Few more from Cache Creek. Including a real deal pines grille on a 32 truck this guy has owned since the early 70's.
