Canadian cruise-in (sit in?!) photos...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Big A, Jun 24, 2004.

  1. This mall in Burlington gets about 400-500 cars every Wednesday night. If you look real hard and aren't blinded by the billet and lawnchairs (not to mention the Fieros and Mullet Mobiles), there are a few nice ones...

Well **** I was there. Did you see a loser in a baby blue work shirt? [IMG]
    That was me.
Ryan would **** a brick if you show a pic of that black 38.

  3. That 38 was sweeet, but too many people standing around it and not moving for me to get a decent shot. I wasn't impressed by all the billet and crate motor under the hood though.

Blue work shirt? Were you standing near a guy in jeans? I think I saw you [IMG]

Sidebar: I'm taking shots of the Hemi-powered RPU, and the owner looks at me and says, "You one of them Car Kulture Deluxe guys?", so I tell him I like traditional hot rods... he says, "hell ya, I build 'em to drive 'em, who cares if they get a paint chip" and we're getting along great... then I mention I'm a member of the HAMB... and he gets all surly with me! [IMG] Gives me the brush off and goes back to his lawn chair. No ****. Nice ride anyway. [IMG]

    Now I remember why I hate Canadian car shows,and the Holier-than-Thou at***udes.

Wasn't everyone next to a guy in jean's? [IMG]
I bug that guy with the RPU at every show I see him at, He's cool with me because I went to school with his grandson, but he is a **** to most people.

  7. Naw, Ian, he was just noticing my rockeriffic™ sideburns and poser-billy t-shirt in the sea of gold chains. He actually seemed amused that I liked his car better than most of the others... but he didn't like the HAMB that's for sure.

Maybe he checked out the HAMB, didn't know enough to intro, then let it slip that he also has a VW, so Paul and Sam gave him a frontier-style **** kickin'. [IMG]

slammed, that '57 is spot-on. I love that car.

  8. You got that right Big A, that 57 wagon looks awesome...

  9. I see that wagon around town sometimes. I know some people are tired of Tri-Fives, but there's a lot to like about this one. Next time I'll take more photos...

That RPU was way cooler 2 year's ago, it's just over the top these day's.

  11. I don't think I've seen it before. It does have that "it's done but I'm retired, so I'll just see what I can add on next" feel about it. Maybe the guy will swap cars with me, since mine's definitely not done, and I'm definitely not retired.

Fergus is approx 1.5 hours from Burlington.
I had to miss the cruise last night. Two of my daughters were graduating.
Don't be offended by the guy in the hemi RPU. He doesn't even give the courtesy wave to me when we p*** each other on local streets. Must have a burr up his ****.
The blue p/u in the background belongs to a friend of mine. He threw that together this winter. BBC, no interior and cl***ic patina. Drives the **** out of it everyday.
