Michael's craft store, they gotta lotta good shit.

  2. michael's does have all kinds of cool stuff...

another trick is find a guitar pick with a shape you like. buy a handful of them and glue them side by side to a tongue depressor or paint stick or some kind of mildly flexible support. then glue a short mask strip to the stencil to avoid over spray on the stuff you've already painted.

Bonez there are a few ways to do it.

    1) spray the base, then spray a coat of clear with flake, then spray some water onto the surface with a spray bottle. Next is you use a black paint and spray it at a 90 degree angle to the surface so it should only hit the water drops. Next spray white fro the opposite angle and wait for water to dry then clear.

    2) Base, Flake, Clear, Water. Then spray the black at 90 degrees only then spray a Kandy over that then clear.

    3) Base, Flake, clear, Water. Then spray the Kandy color you want to use at the 90 degrees.

    4) Base, Flake, Water, black/Kandy This will give you larger droplet size bit not as smooth appearing.

Thats the ways I have done it.

Started life as a longbed c10 we just cut it down whacked the roof off then welded up everything. Its actually just two front fenders welded to longbed bedsides. Then the rear wheelwells were moved back. Then lots-o-flake.

i really really really like that man!!
also how you used different lace patterns on top of the fenders
can't wait to see how it will be finished!

i was wondering where do you guys get youre lace?
i always visit fleemarkets in the hope i'll spot some curtains but it's hard (i'm from the Netherlands)
most of the times there not filled completely which i like when doin a roof, or the designs aren't that good..
so where do you guys get em?

here's my contribution to the thread

no offense, but the lace on the Fleetline is a bit overkill.

I believe that the light color went down first; if you look at the lace between the paisley bits you will see larger dark purple "squares" where the dark paint was not filtered by the lace. If I am wrong I'd like to know, but I think that is how that went down.
