Technical Cannot find Holley 94 Throttle Shafts to fit ECG6, ECW carbs

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by danman55, Jun 24, 2025.

  1. Does anyone have a lead on extended throttle shafts for the "larger" Holley 94 carburetors with the 1 1/16 bores?

I have one ECG6 and two ECW's that I disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and have almost ready to go for a three deuce intake for my Y Block. Charlie Price says that the throttle shafts I purchased from him are all he sales for the Holley 94 but as you can see in the photos the shafts will not work. The shaft is long enough but the screw holes for the butterflies do not line up whatsoever.

  2. Try Charlie NY, 716-662-9159.

  3. I called him - making new shafts are cost prohibitive according to what he told me... he recommended I call Charlie Price at Vintage Speed.

The 2100 stuff seems to be less available though there is some availability of stock length shafts on some of the ag sites. Are your shafts at all serviceable other than the extended length?
Perhaps rebush the base and add an extension collar and shaft to the existing shafts? Or bite the bullet and make new ones. Time consuming, but not impossible. I can understand why Charlie NY said it's cost prohibitive business wise to make a batch that would take some time to sell. But perhaps ask just how much it would be to make you three. It won't be inexpensive, but if you need them, it's just the cost of admission.

  5. What about an offset arm to extend stock shafts?

I bought mine from Charlie Price, Vintage Speed. I had problems with them. After I bought a second set, I found the holes for the screws were not drilled right, he didn't seem to care. When I say not drilled right, I mean they were in the right place, but the hole was threaded above and below the slot. They would not tighten up. Easy fix but he didn't care.
