So tell me I'm crazy. On second thought, don't bother, my wife took care of that already. Seems like I can't even get a good start on the projects I've already got and I go and buy another one. Oh well, I had to have something to put the Triumph in, right? Let me know what ya think of this pile. Definitely a long term prospect. It's a 54 Chevy with the original sixer in it.
Oh man.. that's gonna be a nice lookin ride. That body style is one that doesn't need anything done to it to make look any better. Hmmmm ... does that mean it won't take as long to complete? As for the crazy part? Sounds like she gave you her judgement already.
looks good man , but where are the poor little raccons gonna sleep now? oh to hell with them , nice score !
WOW...that looks awesome, I can't say I've ever seen one. Post some more pics for us when you get it out in the open.
if you buy it make sure its locked up. my rear door on mine got pinched! thanks to a couple fellow hambers one was located. what are your plans? more pic's.
Thanks for the comments guys! The wife is really just fine with the delivery. Heck, she said she thought it was cute. I guess that's O.K. She still thinks I'm nuts. But that's O.K. too. Haven't decided on a plan yet. This just sort of came out of the blue. I wasn't really even looking to buy but the guy shot me such a deal I couldn't p*** it up. I've always had a soft spot for deliveries, especially the Chevy's. I'm pretty sure this is going to be a ways down the road. I've got a Super Beetle convert in progress right now for my daughter. That's getting most of the attention right now. She turns 16 in September and I need to have it done before that. My Triumph (Flyrite Loner) is on the bench as we speak. Hopefully It will be done sometime next summer. It should slide nicely into the back of the Chevy. I'll have to fab some kind of ramp for it. Of course I've got my 29 Model A waiting for me too. ****, wish I didn't have to go and waste that 40 hours a week at my job. I might actually get something done. I'm thinking the Chevy will end up being one that I do up right. Not a billet and tweed trailer queen, but comfy, so the wife won't mind riding in it. I'd like to keep the stovebolt if possible. A five speed might be a good addition to boost the mileage a bit. It will have to be a driver, something I can run to Lowe's with when I need to. Lot's of body work to be done, so if anybody has suggestions for suppliers of sheet metal, I'm all ears. It may have to wait until spring before I can move it. It's in a safe place for now, but I want to get it inside. Here's some more pics. I took these just when we were starting to get an ice storm. So I didn't spend too much time out there.
