Can't understand the tri-five craze

mine was an 82' but those older RX-3 and RX-4's from the early 70's were amazing. My friend has an rx-4 pushing 600hp out of his rotary engine (obviously not stock because he put a GINORMOUS turbo on it lol) . It sounds like a damn angry bee/lawn mower. Man its crazy!

 

I think the OP is actually stating his dislike of posers....and the tri-fives tend to attract posers like Corvettes do.

The older I get though, the more I just say "screw it"....to each his own. My rich neighbor down the street with the overdone Nova with a million 1-800 parts on it and O-ring tires used to get under my skin, because he lives to power park at Goodguys, but here lately, I've even found myself hanging out in his garage, sipping a beer.

Yeah....he's a poser....but life's too short.

I find myself wishing more and more that weed was legal. It would go along nicely with the direction that my overall attitude has been taking over the last few years.

I really don't understand this fixation with desperately wanting to be "different." In many people's quest to be different, they merely end up being different from one group, but absolutely the same as another. Think about it.

I also don't understand why some people "despise" anything. No one makes anyone use a small block Chevy engine, drive a tri-five Chevy, or own a Mustang. If someone doesn't prefer any one of these things, then simply don't partake. Why do these things need to be despised. Are they threatening in some way. Hmmmm ... methinks so!
