Yeah, I noticed that you're in the UK. Thanks for the pics. Fortunately I'm patient...they will come.

Heres a sweet little FoMoCo hardtop with Lincoln quads. Surprised it hadn't been posted yet, but I'm happy to contribute! tapatalk_1586392444189.jpeg

Got one side roughed in...There will be tapered "flairs" forward of the lights... (see the outline) the top one will be proportionately longer. I know these aren't exactly what this thread is about, but they were inspired by the stacked quad headlights on the same truck and follow the style. IMG_0222.JPG

Looks like the grill is teeth from a 50-51 Buick @OG lil E

  21. You're right Bill, '51 Buick.

This truck belonged to my good friend Tony Farnetti in Idaho. Sadly he passed away a handful of years ago. Tony sold the truck years before to move on to other projects.
No offense to the builder who finished the truck in green, but it was way cooler when it was in Tony's hands..........E

  22. You can see how the next builder changed the rear "tailgate" area. The "bed" on Tony's truck was the front clip of a '66 Olds Toronado.
The new builder took all the character away from the Olds front end and did this strange rolled tailgate look. Tony's version was better with lots of cool detail work. E

Looks like no "bed" access... & lost most of the character on the rear. Hey, to each his own, right? It looks like it's still gettin' love, though.

Smiffy you beat me to posting my picks of Johns 40. It is in Lacy Washington and for sale as John is selling his collection. We, (me and my best car buddie) went down before this virus crap hit with the intent on helping him sell. I hadn't seen the 40 in years, and found it to be every bit as cool as ever, in fact went down to offer to buy it myself. But when he priced it at 70K that took away the desire to own it. Haven't talked with him since as I don't think he really wants to sell.:D

Those early Ford pick ups look great with the canted headlights... Probably the only custom touch I ever liked, well that and flat red Lucite tail light lenses...

Customizers usually always go over board on there creations.. I like just a light touch here and there, Detroit did a wonderful job to begin with..

As far as the green /blue formerly Tony's truck. I am defenetly agreeing with to each his own comment in fact I was just about to say it. Personally I prefer the olds sheet metal on rear but think the new paint is great, but great to see it still in action after your friends passing away. I hope my kids and future grandkids keep my cars going. Or at very least other new owners.
