    Hello All

Just signed up a couple of days ago. I've been lurking for awhile after hearing about this board from the guys on Canadian Rodder.

No car at the moment, but I am always looking for something. Hoping to snag a 60's Dodge Monaco/Polara, or a 60-63 Falcon. Dream car is a Woodie. Budget is tight, but I am always looking, for something that I can drive & fix as I go.

Been fascinated with cars since I read my 1st Hot Rod magazine & my 1st CARtoons mag. That was awhile ago (OK not that far off), and for some reason I stopped thinking about oldies...not sure why?!? but a friend released the bug again when he showed up with his 58 Vette & 72 Lemans.

I couldn't afford to buy my own car at the time so I tried to do something a little different...I organized a charity cruise in 2005 (Amanda's cruise for JA), and have plans on making it bigger & better in coming years....so until I get my own car, it gets me close to the cars I love.

I'm not the most knowledgeable guy when it comes to cars, but I am willing to learn.

Looking forward to hanging out here at night after the youngun's head to bed. Amanda (who the cruise is named after) is 10 as of 2006, and Sara is 4. Both gorls birthdays are coming up in the next few months.

welcome aboard Tim. This is a great site, you will learn lots, plus it will give you the bug to go out and get that car you desire. Keep us posted about that cruise. And if you end up getting a falcon i have a buddy who just bought a 64 convertable and he has a 66 mustang so he has a wealth of knowledge of the small fords.

Welcome aboard the HAMB fellow Canadien!!!!!!!!!! I grew up in Toronto until I was 16, was scouted by some NHL teams at 14, played with the Marlies exhibition games only. Mind you 2 of them were against Peterborough and Stevie 'Y' showed us why he was a 1st pick overall. Anyways, I have been in Los Angeles since moving down here. Education came 1st in my family. Ya the sun and the fun but with that comes traffic, high housing $$$$$$$ and all the other bullshit that comes with that so called LALA land that we all look forward to livin in. Reality check foir those that think it is all that great. KNUX!
