Car Audio Question

I've heard people on here talk about putting a small amplifier underneath the seat of their car and simply running an ipod out of it. I don't want to put a cd player in my dash and think that this sounds like a great idea. I'm kinda dumb when it comes to car audio and could use a little help on the type of amp to get. I saw this one on ebay...

Do you guys think that it would work for this application? I'm only wanting to run a couple 5.25" speakers so I'm not too worried about how powerful it is. Or....if anyone has any better ideas, that would be great too. Thanks for the help!
