hmm...I wonder if there were other chapters. I've got an old club jacket from Canada with the same name but different location. John Shot at 2008-02-10
That Cluster Busters plaque is a copy of an original made in the mid-50's. The original was stamped, enameled steel. Another guy from Millstadt had a mold pulled from his, and cast some in Aluminum. I had the guy who did the casting make a couple more. We had it made for a car we're building for our parents' 51st anniversary (we missed the 50th)
I asked my Dad,he never knew of any other chapters. I'll check their website, since it's an active club still.
TOE: That graphic on the Road Geezers plaque is great. Wish I would have thought of that when I had the Dry Heat Geezers plaques made. Also made me think about some of the other plaques I have on our site, like this one and the Old Farts plaque submitted by Alfster ..... Maybe we should start a Geezers Alliance
Hey bro.....I'm a Piston Pusher........be great to know your Dads name and when he was in the club, considering the club has been going since 1954. I bet he's got some great stories and pictures. Here's a shot of the old club house.......ask him if this brings back the memories.....lol.
BULLET NOSE, My dads plague from 1964 that I still have is on your site "LANCERS LONG BEACH" Im curious how it got there? I ran it for a while on my lmpala and never submited it to you?? pretty cool thanks!
Glad you like it, I thought it was great when I saw it too. Too bad the owner of the car wasn't around when I took the photo...
Guess that's all for now. Thanks to everyone for posting their plaque pictures and Happy Leap Year! Bill (Bullet Nose)
We have a small car club just starting out. Here's a pic of our Club Plaque (plaque #1) which was attached to the rear of my '51 via a chain and debuted at "Billetproof-Ocala". Thanks goes to Stretch1320 who built this at around 2am the morning we left out for Ocala. Cooter
