You are talking about R.G. Canning, he is a major promoter in Southern California and I believe he still lives in Downey. He runs the Rose Bowl, Ventura, and San Bernardino flea markets. He was also the major sponsor of the Soap Box Derby in Orange County for several years. He does a lot of youth activities as well.

  2. it really bugs me when i see on e-bay and other places my company name being used on signs, etc. The Old Fart's Garage is a registered trademark in the United States and Canada. The real signs come from my shop and each one is hand done not silk screened or whatever. I am a small business and we depend on our shirt and decal revenues for part of our income to stay afloat. The problem is as stated above the money to go after people using it. So my stand is this, if the car clubs are real then the money should go to them not a shirt company making mad profits off the name. Fad or no fad the millions they make off the names are real....Dave.

'Torques' is registered and copywrite protected. Pay for it, it's worth it.

There is a bar in Brawley called Hot Rods and Beer. Hot Rod/race themed bar. Not sure if there is many rods there though.

If I were in these clubs I'd be sending emails to the shirt company at the very least and possibly seeking legal advice.

The damn fu**ing chinese and other Asian countries will copy and make anything you want and they have not copyright laws . I see this damn shit selling at flee markets all the time and as long as those countries have the right to ship that copied shit to the USA and sell it you will keep seeing this shit everywhere !
It needs to be stopped at the customs ! They are the ones letting these illegal copies being brought into the USA ! ALWAYS look at the tag to see where it was made and it will have a copy wight logo on a REAL items ! NASCAR and The West Coast Choppers are the worst for being copied !
If you see the illegal items being sold at shows , Dollar store , flea markets and places like that , all you have to do is call the Police and the will take everything ! I have seen it done at a local flea market where chineses were selling this copied shit . If you don't complain to the police or the athorities then this will keep going on !
NEVER , EVER BUY THAT COPIED SHIT EITHER !!!
Sorry for sounding off but I hate that copy shit I see people selling !
