Hey folks! So, here's the deal---I bought a pretty cool car. It's 62 years old. While I'm not TOTALLY ignorant(close...), I really don't have a lot of "real" old car experience. I'm learning, but I don't want things to get really messed up due to my missing something obvious. My car is a nice looking, though amateur restoration, basically original 1950 Ford Deluxe. It has the inline 6 motor. I would love to have someone who knows quite a bit more than how to drive one walk around it, look under, take it for a spin, etc, and give me a basic rundown on how to keep this baby alive. I know I could find a shop, but I'd rather get an independent evaluation from someone who isn't trying to sell me something. I plan on doing a lot of research and upgrading a few things. Eventually will do some things to make the car "mine". I'd just like to not kill it first. Yes, I know I've basically admitted I'm a moron and have tossed myself into the shark pit, but all I really need is one guy to understand my plight and feels the need to have mercy on my soul. I'm more than happy to pay a guy for his time, be it a reasonable amount of cash, or lunch and a handful of beers. Sooooo, let the beatings begin...
