Today, a rainy Virginia Monday I thought I'd share a car funny I thought of which happened many years ago. I worked downtown in a large old building that had parking for just two cars in front of a large roll up garage/loading door. One winter we had a deep snow, plows came through and blocked it so I had to park across the street. Public parking area rarely used, two hour time limit. I parked there while I shoveled my parking area out. It took me a little over two hours to shovel out, then when I went to move my car there was a parking ticket On it!!! I called city police department, explanation of snow, how I was the only one using that public area,How I was there just over the limit did no good. I called the mayor who said sorry, rules are rules, fine is $35.00. Needless to say I was livid. But I had a plan...and Superglue just came on the market and I had a few tubes. I went to a local bank and got 3500 pennys. I rolled out about 145 feet of masking tape on the building floor, then a drop of glue each penny to the tape. Same along the top, another drop as I put down another 145' tape. When through I rolled it up in a great big coil, mailed it to city hall with a note..."Any questions ask the mayor". I never heard any more about it and can't imagine what it was like getting all those pennies out!!!!! Sent from my SM-S320VL using Tapatalk... Gary from Virginia
