Man, that might be hard to do seeing how we all race on Friday and will all have are cars in a certain place in the pits We always leave our car at the track because we cant get in the motel parking lot. We we see what happens with the car,I wouldn't miss your party for nothin.
Hi Guys, Aussie FNG here and ready to get involved! As I have mentioned in my intro a while back I have a '54 Ford Truck. It is flathead powered (apparently not uncommon in Australia to have 54s with flatties). It is a short wheel base truck with original duals on rear. I have big plans for resto of truck but it will be a long way off, so I plan to use the drive train (and possibly front axle) for a Hambster build. I am yet to contact Drewfus so I will refrain from nominating a number until I check in with the Aussie Hambsters. HA/GR No. ?? "HIGH AL***UDE HAMBSTERS" (sorta like HA HA/GR!) Name: Prescilla Team: "HIGH AL***UDE HAMBSTERS"" Engine: Ford Flatty (from '54 F Truck) Trans: 3 spd from truck Rear Axle: Likely to be from Truck also Tires : ?? Front axle: ?? -Pete.
Thanks Ryan, we were only talking about this issue the other day... A/Rat, PM me a phone number and we can chat.. Cheers, Drewfus
HA/GR 13 Name: <undecided> (Well it is decided but we're not saying...YET) Team: Scroungers CC, Cincinnati,OH Engine: Mercury Flathead 239 cuin before we started. Trans: 3 speed stick Rear Axle: Winters Quickchange. Tires (rear) Coker Cl***ics wide whites Front axle: 1934 Ford ET: Well, Since we almost dropped the engine while putting it between the rails due to a sticky hydraulic valve, we are claiming the DOWNWARD engine speed record of 1.5 feet in .025 heartbeats.
Glenn, I'm not going to ask about the "pucker" factor when it dropped. I did that with a boat several years ago while I was standing on it and I know what you mean. By the way, looking good so far!!
I was guiding the engine down at the front with tennis shoes on when the "HYDRAULIC VALVE" problem occured. Next week I'm wearing safety shoes. Oh & BTW the cu/in is 255 and not 239. (Glenns a Chevy guy at heart!)
Not a new one, but I never took the time to put it in here. HA/GR #66 "Nightmare" Stock 225 slant six--carter 2 bbl carb, homemade headers. 4 speed truck ****** 355 rear--one legged Best et so far-14.41 at 96 mph More to follow?
The car number reservation was really a Hindman thing for the sdra. If you want an sdra number reserved let Bob Hindman now.
HA/GR's don't require car numbers. You can number your car anything you want. The SDRA broke away from the HAMB rules to form their own group. They are based in Oklahoma. HA/GR is gasoline only at this time.
