I build my own few yrs ago.It worked fine with my '51 shoebox body.I think i spend something like 450 bucks for that build. It needed some lathework too,but i was able to do it at the work after the working hrs.I dont have any plans, sorry.I dont usually draw anything, just take some measurements on the paper and thats it.

I built this in 2009. The spindles are made from a 1968 olds cutl*** axle that I sacrificed for the project, there is a sealed bearing inserted inside the cut ends. The worm gear/crank ***embly came from a harbor freight boat winch. The cylinders were new from NAPA. I used 3/16 wall tube on the major structure, 1/8 on the body attachments. I think a lot of rotisseries are made from 1/8 steel, I just wanted to be sure that my lack of engineering expertise didn't cause a failure. Its height , width and length are adjustable, and the body mounts are easily interchangeable with a 5x4.75 bolt pattern on the axle flanges. The largest body I have had on it so far is a 1955 Belair hardtop.
It wasn't super cheap to build, there was over $500 into it, but I got all of the features I wanted and it takes up a relatively small footprint in my shop, when broken down.

Mine looks like that but I bought it. At the time I was working in a steel fab shop, had bought the Rams started cutting brackets , but decided in the end it would be cheaper and quicker just buy one and move on (ebay ). More time fixing less time making things
