I spent hours on the phone talking to him way back when I was the only guy in town transplanting new-fangled Ford mills into old-mangled Ford Trucks.

Somehow, I imagined him as younger with more colorful hair,
But I guess it's been ~30 years since I heard his voice on the 'hot' end of the hotline....
It's nice to put a face to the guy who shed so much light into the nooks and crannies of the newest of Ford Technology.

Yeah, he's a great guy!! :) I first met him on Woodward Ave. a few years back while we were both grabbin' a bite to eat at this Italian place.. Him and his wife were at a table near us.. I first read about him in car mags from way back... I felt I've known him all my life..:)

    Here's a few more...
If your wondering what kind of carb setup that is in the 8th photo, it's one of Ford's "very rare" Autolite inline 4-bbl carbs and intake setup they did up for BOSS program... Wish I had a bunch more pictures of those... Maybe I should do a search on the subject..

Here's some Ford small block engine pics with the Autolite inline 4 and a couple of a Ford Hemi head.... Those round intake ports looked to be about 2.500" in diameter.. Maybe bigger.

Great pictures. I was there with the Galaxie Club about 5 years ago.
Regarding John, (correct spelling of his las name is Vermeersch) Definitely a great guy. He has a bunch of cool cars.
We park at his lot every year for the Woodward Dream Cruise

The SOHC car....A local guy here in Indy had that car for awhile, guess John wised up and got it back. This was in the early 80's.

Thanks for the pix ... I appreciate it. Some very trick pieces in the parts dept. too.

I wish I had some spare cash to pick some of those items up.
