Any HAMBers going to the show at Pierce Park this Sunday? Attached is a truck that was at the show last year. The ol' Chevy was dripping with cool, I can't believe there weren't more people hovered around it when I took the picture. Anybody know more about this truck? I have a few pictures but that's it.
Moepower and I will be in the swap area with my old '49 Ford truck dispensing sage advice and selling off some of my flathead collection (and Corvair parts...huh?)...all HAMB'ers welcome to stop by for free refreshments...If anyone needs a particular flattie part, pm me....
I've seen it at several car shows, including Elkhorn and Iola. There are some details about halfway down this page; http://www.kmrhr.freeserve.co.uk/rides57/rides57.htm The frame and body are homemade. The body is all 1" square tube covered with sheetmetal. Notice there are no compound curves to the body. The cowl top is a simple curve, the rest is all flat. Wouldn't be hard to duplicate.
Here are some pics I took of it as it looks now with its Olds Rocket valve covers. Pics were taken at Iola on Friday http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=766128#post766128 BB
I'll be there with my 50 ford....... Pierce park is perhaps the neatest car show in the country.... Cause its free and a few blocks from my place........... LUKESTER
Yep i have seen him run around town in it. That Appleton show is a big one to go too also. I was there 3 years ago and had a great time.
Yea, I'll be there with Krooser selling flatheads and Corvair part's (?) Hank and some others should be there as well.
So....free parking at your place? My folks will have the rod in Milwaukee this weekend so I'll be cruising down in my too-new P/U. No chance at the free welder this year....
yeah, you can Park at my place, but you better bring your brushes and one shot, cause I now have one Solid Flat black shoebox, and it needs a little pizazz..... Lukester
