I figured anyone in this area (socal & western AZ) already knows that the Midnight at The Oasis car show is the March 3-5. But just in case...

Not the best show around, but a nice way to kill a little time. There's been some nice cars in the past.

It used to be a pretty good show, but, in my opinion, they ruined it. Used to block off the streets and run the cruise thru town....seemed like everyone in town showed up. Several years ago, they eliminated that, and the cops that were blocking traffic were put to work on motorcycles giving uout traffic tickets for even minor stuff. I've avoided the show ever since. They still get their 800 entrants anyway.

I've only entered a car once...and that was in about 1994. I'm pretty sure they do a parade thing through town still. When I entered there were a few poker runs during the weekend. ...Kinda fun.

Last few years I've just gone for a couple hours, then left. There were a few great customs there last year.

I've seen cars there in primer. Saw this on their site though:

"Entries may be revoked by the Caballeros de Yuma for any automobile which is not in working order or is unfinished as determined by the Caballeros de Yuma in its sole discretion."
