great cartoons. Yeah, they dont make them like that anymore...i miss them. Why are these called "Banned" cartoons on you tube? How can you save these?
thats great...what ever happened to all those great cartoons? i watched every sat am when i was a kid. i still would if they were on.
During the war, a lot of the cartoons were definately war propoganda. I remember seeing one when I was in jr. high (early '80s) call "Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips." He was up against Japanese soldiers, and was calling them every name in the book. When you put it in the context of us fighting WWII, it's a great cartoon. Especially when you look at that, and then look at the fact that they don't want us showing pics of the towers going down today because it might create negative feelings. The company that owns the rights also doesn't allow broadcasts of any Speedy Gonzalas cartoons, because they're politically incorrect and portray negative stereotypes. I've also heard the same argument against Porky Pig cartoons, because P-P-P-Porky stutters, and it's just wrong to make fun of/with someone who stutters. What a great era we live in. -Brad
Yep, you definitely don’t want to step on any bleeding hearts around here. Great cartoons, thanks.
I still watch Cartoons with my 6 year old every once in a while, and most of the stuff they watch nowdays isn't even funny. She was actually laughing out loud while watching the Tunes in this post... The Square Dancing one is one of my all-time favorites, next to the one where Bugs plays the Viking Woman in the Opera. Is there any way to save them to your Computer?
