I just cleaned my carbs to bare metal, and the copper/bronze coating that was on them was removed. My question is, can I just leave the pot metal bare and run them on my car without them rusting?? Do I have to re-coat them or paint them?? I am pretty sure that I don't, but I just wanna double check that pot metal doesn't rust in the elements. Thanks

I'm no expert but years ago ran a lot of Rochester 2GCs lots of time the grey pot metal was all you could see never had a problem. But I also used to run 120 on slick tires on all 4 corners on a 56 Chev, too so probably need other opinions.
