I'm planning on mounting 4 holley 94's on top of the weiand dual quad tunnel ram I have on my small block in my A sedan. I bought a adapter fron vintage speed to see how it looks and it's killer( you look right at the carbs through the windshield). Anyway the deal is with the offset of the vintage speed adapter the carbs or to close together and I can't fit them on in a row. They said I need 11" ctr to ctr for the adapters to work and I only have 9". Would you see any problem mounting the 2 back carbs backwards and have them facing the windshield and the 2 front ones faceing the radiator? I know I'll have to make some fancy linkage but how about anything else? I took some pics (of last nights chop and stuff)but it will be a couple days before I get them developed. Thanks.......Mike
PAW sells 4v carb spacers that offset the carb mounting by maybe half an inch or so. Not sure if it'll give you enough room or not, but if you mount them so that the front is offset forward and the rear is offset backward...it may get ya close. You could probably fine tune it a little with some deft grinder work. Or re-drill and tap the spacer a bit MORE offset...I'm sure you're adaptors will allow for some moving around and still work okay. My brother in law has an extra set of those offset spacers if you want them...new in the package. I'll ask him for a price if you're interested.
Fat Hack,I'll see how much room I need and I'll let you know if I think they will work, Thanks Anybody else have any suggestions?
The carbs won't care if they're mounted b***-ackwards. And with some long throttle shafts you may not even need to add any monkey motion bell-cranks in your linkage. Put a couple of 'em on facing the rear.
